A Regional Organization: Angel Flight Central, Inc.

Angel Flight Central, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with administrative headquarters at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport in Kansas City, Missouri.

AFC is comprised of the Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, paid staff, WING leadership and other volunteers. The Board of Trustees is the governing body and bears the policy making, legal, and fiduciary responsibility of the organization. AFC's role and support of the mission is to:

• Manage AFC in accordance with the policies established by the Board.
• Provide administrative, accounting and legal services consistent with the AFC mission.
• Establish and support the development of local chapters (WINGS) throughout the region. The Board may grant “WING” status to a qualifying group and may withdraw status, at its sole discretion.
• Provide coordination services to WINGS and other Angel Flight America regions needing to link missions within our area.
• Provide resources and guidance regarding AFC’s goals and activities to member WINGS.
• Promote AFC activities regionally and assist WINGS with promotion locally.
• Produce and distribute print materials as appropriate including the WINGSPAN regional newsletter.
• Develop and maintain a web site for the use by AFC and each WINGS.
• Raise funds to support the activities of AFC and WINGS.
• Monitor the regional usage of the intellectual property of ACN and AFC.
• Take steps on behalf of AFC, so that it may legally conduct business and solicit funds within the various states which the organization seeks to serve.
