  • Pilots have the right to make all final decisions regarding the flight as pilot in command.

  • Pilots have the right to expect that the passengers have been screened to determine eligibility, need and appropriateness of the request for his or her volunteer services.

  • Pilots have the right to be forwarded pertinent documentation relevant to the mission.

  • Pilots have the responsibility to contact passengers within 24 hours of the flight notifying them of the meeting place including: time, location of airport and which Fixed Base Operator [FBO] name.

  • Pilots have the responsibility to contact the Mission Coordinator at 1-800-474-9464, ext. 2 immediately if the mission is being cancelled for any reason.

  • Pilots have the responsibility to keep the Angel Flight Central office staff informed of any changes in the mission (e.g. airport, FBO, date of mission, etc.).

  • Pilots have the responsibility to confirm all arrangements made by the Mission Coordinator with linking pilots including the date, time, airport and FBO of the mission.

  • Pilots have the responsibility to have all passengers sign a liability release form and leave it at the FBO in an addressed and stamped envelope to be mailed to the Angel Flight Central office.

  • Pilots have the responsibility to file a flight plan.

  • Pilots have the responsibility to notify the Mission Coordinator at 1-800-474-9464, ext. 2 upon the completion of the mission.
