Volunteer Opportunities
You can have a direct impact by getting involved on a regional level to help support all Angel Flight efforts.
Mission Screening and Coordination Determine passenger eligibility and match them with pilots. This role is "central" to Angel Flight's service! All you need is a phone, computer, internet connection and excellent communication skills.
Administrative Support With only a small staff covering 10 states, many opportunities exist for volunteers to get involved in daily activities:
- Traffic Manager (phones, faxes, visitor reception, etc.)
- Information Kit Assembly
- Mass Mailing Preparation
- Mailing Database Entry/Manager
- Adopt-an-Angel Flight Assistant
- Mission Filing
- Information Requests
- Meeting Preparation and Follow-up
- Media Librarian (file photos and media clippings) Speaker's Bureau Program Coordinator (assemble and distribute kits/track presentation info)
- WINGSPAN Newsletter Writer/Researcher
- Photographer
- Grants Writer/Researcher
- Shirt Off Our Back Program Manager
- Webmaster
- Earth Angel Program Coordinator
- Go-To Person (run errands, pick up mail, etc.)
Special Events Regional events bring the entire Angel Flight family of pilots, passengers, volunteers, donors, supporters and staff together. Much help is needed with these fun and important events. You may even want to take one of the regional event ideas and recreate it in your community!
