As summer approaches, we have begun to hear from camps around the region that focus on providing support, community, independence, and most of all FUN for children affected by life altering diagnoses. For children experiencing cancer, diabetes, chronic pain, HIV/AIDS, and autism, camp is the one place where they feel they can be themselves. A safe place where they are not defined by their diagnosis. A place to have fun.
Parents and caregivers already struggling to make ends meet can’t afford the rising transportation costs. That is where Angel Flight Central, our generous volunteer pilots come in, and YOU come in.
For the past 20 plus years, Angel Flight Central has partnered with specialized camps to transport 1000’s of children for free by way of our volunteer pilots and their own aircrafts. Not only does this allow them access to summer camp, but it also lets them experience the wonders of general aviation. An experience most will remember for the rest of their lives!
Please help us develop “Plane Fun,” a fund specifically designated to arrange free flights for the kids to get to their specialized summer camps.
